On Friday, Nathan Adamson, a physicist teaching at the Sandy Shore Community College, discovered what he called a group of micro-black holes in synchronous orbit about themselves hovering in gravity equilibrium with the Earth in the closet of a townhouse in Sandy Shore. "It was a once in a lifetime experience," Adamson is quoted as saying. "In the world of physics, we try not to say something is impossible, but I would say what we found would be something most physicists would agree would be extremely unlikely."
Police Receive Suspicious 911 Call
On Friday afternoon, the emergency center operator received a call from Mr. Leo Kernuggle, owner of a townhouse on Hampton Lane in Sandy Shore, reported that he found a strange gray ball floating in the closet of his second bedroom. He also reported that the trophies he had stored in this closet were missing. After the operator warned Mr. Kernuggle about repercussions for reporting a crank call. Mr. Kernuggle insisted it was not a crank call and he wanted the object investigated. He also said his wife, Millie Kernuggle was missing. At that point, the operator told Mr. Kernuggle a squad car was on its way and they would look into the matter.
Police Baffled By What They Find
Officers Vicki Bartino and Kelly Grady responded to the call regarding the object in the closet of the townhouse. "When we arrived at the Kernuggle townhouse, we found the oddest thing we'd ever seen," Officer Bartino reports. "Mr. Kernuggle was correct. There was a strange gray ball of nothing floating in the owner's closet. We approached it with extreme caution." Officer Grady reported that she had attempted to touch the suspicious ball with the tip police baton. "When it entered the object, it was torn from my hand and disappeared into the ball. We knew then we were dealing with something we had not been trained to deal with." The officers directed the townhouse owner to exit the room while they called for additional support.
Police Call The Fire Department For Support
"We don't get a lot of calls from the PD for things they aren't able to handle," Fire Department Chief Delaney reported to us. "When Officers Grady and Bartino called for assistance from the Fire Department, I sent a team to investigate." When the Fire Department team headed by Lieutenant Jeffries arrived at the townhouse, they found the same thing Officers Grady and Bartino had discovered. And odd sphere of gray nothingness hung in the townhouse closet. Jeffries tested the object by throwing a few paperback books into it. They disappeared the same as Officer Grady's baton. "We knew this was not something we could deal with either," reported Jeffries. "We decided to get help from our local college.
Doctor Nathan Adamson Investigates the Object
Lieutenant Jeffries suggested they bring in Doctor Nathan Adamson, a physicist from the Sandy Shore Community College to investigate the object. When he arrived, he inspected the object and devised a theory as to what it might be. "As unbelievable as it might sound, I theorized that the object contained hundreds if not thousands or millions of micro-black holes swarming about each other in a stable internal orbit. That would explain the gray color and the disappearance of any object passing through the ball's edge." Adamson explained that micro-black holes, the size of a single point, had already been theorized as possible. And even a black hole as small as a point would draw in any object passing its threshold. Whenever an object was thrust into the gray ball, it would eventually touch one the micro sized black holes and be drawn into it and disappear. Adamson was still unclear as to how it could end up in the closet, but he was sure of his analysis of the object.
Adamson Calls In Help From The Midwest Institute of Technology
Upon examination of mysterious sphere floating in the closet of the Townhouse, Doctor Adamson decided he needed additional help in analyzing the strange object. He asked the Fire Department to contact Doctor Anita Hensel, a renowned physicist at the The Midwest Institute of Technology. With the help of Sandy Shore Mayor Elizabeth Cavell, Doctor Hensel was persuaded to visit the site. "I assumed the object was some sort of localized weather anomaly," she told reporters. "But when I examined the sphere and saw how it interacted with objects placed beyond its edges, I agreed with Doctor Adamson's initial determination. The object had all the characteristics of a previously only theoretical swarm of micro-black holes in a synchronous orbit about themselves. How this came to be and how the object came to rest in this exact spot is still unknown.
Plans to Move the Object
After exhausting all the research that could be done on the object in its location, the two physicists determined the best place for it was at the Midwest Institute. They devised a method of movement consisting of placing a series of high-end industrial strength super-magnets about the object. According to the engineers at the Institute, this will create an area of localized artificial gravity for the object to float in. Then they will use cranes to lift the entire structure and special moving equipment to transport it to the Institute. "It's too early to predict what we may learn from this object or what uses it may have, but in the years ahead, I'm sure our study of it will unlock secrets we haven't even considered," Doctor Adamson told the press. The transportation of the object is scheduled for sometime in the next two weeks. Until then, authorities have set up barricades around the area as they deem the site is too dangerous for non-authorized personnel to approach.
The Kernuggles Have Yet to Make a Statement
After the initial call to the emergency operator, Leo Kernuggle has not been heard from. And as to the whereabouts of Mrs. Kernuggle, that too remains a mystery. However, according to several neighbors, the Kernuggle's relationship was not a happy one. "I wouldn't be surprised if Millie just up and left that man," Francine Quincy, a neighbor said. "Leo was not nice to anyone, and he treated Millie like she was his live-in house keeper and maid." Presumably the search for Millie Kernuggle is still on going and Leo Kernuggle is staying elsewhere as his house has been declared a disaster area. Repeated calls to both the Sandy Shore Police Department and Fire Department have not produced any new information. "We cannot comment on the location of either of the Kernuggles as it is our policy not to comment on ongoing investigations," both Chief Delaney of the Fire Department and Chief Kaminski of the Police Department are quoted as saying. This reporter finds it suspicious that the exact same answer is provided by both departments and the Sandy Shore Sentinel will continue to investigate the matter until a determination can be made as to the location of the Kernuggles.
